Yaassssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss Sssdsssssssssßsssssssssssssssssssssddddddddsssssdddddddddddddddddddddddddd,
What a beautiful spot for a luncheon! I have never been to desert shores and was really surprised there were lakes! The weather was perfect. Michael, our server, was attentive and friendly. The ladies enjoyed some cocktails called blanc de blanc that had blackberries and lemon. Very tasty. We enjoyed the chicken chopped salad and an order of the bananas foster pancakes. The candied walnuts were amazing! Everything was well seasoned and fresh. $100 for lunch for three including iced tea and two cocktails is damn reasonable. Misspelled words on the menu: "Hawai" for the Hawaiian poke and something called "smoker bacon". Other than being an actual Hawaiian person sad about my island's spelling, these little touches tell me there isn't a corporate mothership dictating the menu. There are real people behind this establishment so I was very happy to support a local business.
Beautiful views of the lake. Plenty of patio seating if you want to see a view of the lake. The patio area is semi enclosed, meaning several segments of the windows can be opened and closed at a time. There's fans and misters to cool you from the warmer days. When you first walk in, you'll see their wine cellar/collection. They also have a collection of tequilas. I've been here at least a handful of times. It seems like they change their menu from time to time, and that's a good thing. I've ordered escargots, fries, steak with seared foie gras on top, and shrimp and grits. The escargots are always consistent. I like how they're swimming in garlic butter. They're served with a side of crostini bread and butter. You can't even tell you're eating escargots because it's so saturated in that awesome garlic butter sauce. I think the fries are lightly battered and fried. They are super juicy and super crispy. The grits with truffle shrimp are just okay. It's great flavor, but the grits start tasting bland after a while, but that's just my opinion with grits. I'm sort of picky when it comes to grits. Great place for a nice brunch with family and friends. It feels like you're at a resort with the surrounding landscape lakeside view.
Decided to do an updated review during Restaurant Week. We have stayed away for a while since our last experience was with the run down décor. I am happy to report that that the décor has been refreshed. Food and service were on point. We had a reservation for lunch and were immediately seated upon arrival. We were offered a four person table on the upper patio with shade and a nice breeze. Our server Paula was friendly and she checked on us throughout and refilled the water glasses without asking. The restaurant was not overly busy on this week day at 12:30 PM. Service and food delivery was prompt. Our lunch order was the Turkey sandwich which comes with fries. The Cole slaw that is served on the sandwich was a little sweet for my wife's taste. The fries were hot and crispy outside and tender inside. Overall, a good lunch item. I ordered the 3 course Restaurant Week special. The first course choice was the soup of the day Cheddar Broccoli, second course choice was Truffled Shrimp and Grits and third course choice Carrot Cake. The soup was hot, creamy and tasty with several slices of truffles. The second course consisted of 5 shrimp in a bowl of creamy grits. The shrimp had a nice coating of melted butter. I did not finish all of the grits saving room for the Carrot cake which was large enough for two people.
For delicious food, atmosphere, and service I recommend marche bacchus! We were pleasantly pleased with our entrees and wine selection. The weather was beautiful and the ducks, fish, and turtles were visible in the lake beneath our table. We Arrived early around 5 PM and selected the fried oysters, Ahi pate, and chef'Special scallops! All delicious!
Marche Bacchus French Bistro & Wine Market A fun date day! A beautiful day and a really nice lunch! The French Onion Soup was delish... my only thing would be that I wish it was a bigger bowl. Cute setting with water front seating. Rare in Vegas. They have an amazing #wineselection which you can also purchase to take home! #summerlin #vegas #restaurants
